Join us for the June Early Bird Breakfast as we welcome David Addiss, MD, MPH, from the Task Force for Global Health, one of the largest non-profit organizations in the world, headquartered in Atlanta.

Addiss currently serves as Director of the Focus Area for Compassion and Ethics and Senior Advisor to the Global Partnership for Zero Leprosy, through the Task Force. After working as a general medical practitioner in a migrant health clinic in the San Joaquin Valley of California, David trained in public health at The Johns Hopkins University in 1985 and a completed a Preventive Medicine residency at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 1988.
He is an Adjunct Professor at Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University and at the Eck Institute for Global Health, University of Notre Dame, where he teaches global health ethics. Current interests include global health ethics; the role of compassion in global health; mindfulness, moral distress and divided loyalties in global health; and the ethics of disease elimination.
