Early Bird Breakfast, March 2018
Join us at the March Early Bird Breakfast as we recognize the Large Business of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year and get an update from Jamie Jordan on the High Demand Career Initiative (HDCI) from the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD).
Jamie has managed HDCI since it was launched by Governor Deal in 2014, actualizing the governor’s concept of an initiative to make Georgia’s workforce and education efforts cooperatively more responsive to private sector demands. HDCI is an ongoing effort to identify workforce gaps in Georgia, connect employers with existing resources in the state, and develop innovative solutions to the systemic workforce issues facing Georgia businesses. Prior to his role with HDCI, Jamie served as the Liaison to the State Workforce Development Board for GDEcD. Before joining GDEcD, he briefly worked in the office of Speaker David Ralston.
Jamie is a two-time graduate of the University of Georgia, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Terry College of Business. He is a native of Griffin, Georgia and currently resides in Atlanta.
