High Noon History
Pack a lunchbox (or order a boxed lunch from Mare Sol), bring a friend, and enjoy some history on Lafayette Square. Talks will last about thirty minutes allowing plenty of time to get back to work and the rest of the day. Tuesday, April 21, May 3, and June 3 at 12:00 noon on the Northwestern corner of Lafayette Square, Downtown LaGrange. Some chairs will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. No reservations required unless ordering a boxed meal. To order a boxed lunch, email info@trouparchives.org or call 706.884.1828 by the Monday before each event. April 12 - Richard Ingram will delight listeners with tales of the Marquis de Lafayette, the Square’s most famous resident. May 3 - Archivist Randall Allen will share the history of LaGrange’s, once known as the City of Elms and Roses. flora and fauna. June 7 - Archivist Lewis Powell will take listeners on a proverbial walk around the block with the history of Downtown LaGrange.
