Leaving LaGrange Better Than We Found It, city litter pickup

The public is invited to join the City of LaGrange for its monthly litter clean-up event Saturday, July 20, 8:00-10:00 a.m. The group will meet Hollis Hand Elementary, 641 Country Club Road. We are proud to have our community partner for this event be Hollis Hand Elementary School. City Manager Meg Kelsey wanted to send a message to the community that the City of LaGrange is serious about cleaning up litter and rolled out the city’s campaign, “Leaving LaGrange Better Than We Found It.” The City of LaGrange closed non-essential business April 20, 2018 and hundreds of employees picked up trash throughout the community. The city recently celebrated its second annual LLBTWFI litter pickup on April 26, 2019. The city will continue holding monthly litter pickups: JULY - Saturday, July 20th, 8-10 a.m. Hollis Hand Elementary, 641 Country Club Rd (Hollis Hand Elementary, Partner) AUGUST – Saturday, August 24th 8-10 a.m. Berta Weathersbee Elementary, 1200 Forrest Avenue (Berta Weathersbee, Partner) SEPTEMBER – Saturday, September 28th, 8 a.m.-NOON, National Public Lands Day with Army Corps of Engineers OCTOBER - Saturday, October 12th, 8-10 a.m. Hillside Neighborhood, Health Department parking lot 900 Dallis Street (DASH, Partner) NOVEMBER - Saturday, November 2nd, 8-10 a.m. LaGrange Fire Department Headquarters, 115 Hill Street DECEMBER - Saturday, December 7th, 8-10 a.m. THE THREAD Granger (St. Mark’s Church, Partner) JANUARY - Saturday, January 11th, 8-10 a.m. Weathers Honda Parking Lot, 1808 Vernon Road (McKeen Realty, Partner) FEBRUARY - Saturday, February 8th, 8-10 a.m. Piggly Wiggly parking lot, 505 South Greenwood Street MARCH - Saturday, March 7th, 8-10 a.m. Jones Street Park APRIL - Friday, April 24th, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. City employees will pick up litter throughout the community We are looking for partners (church groups, civic groups, boy scouts, girl scouts, businesses, schools - EVERYONE!) to help us Leave LaGrange Better Than We Found It!
