Webinar: Preventing & Addressing Harassment in the Workplace
Join us for the first of six human resources webinars presented in conjunction with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Malone Workforce Solutions.
When it comes to sexual harassment claims, employers must make difficult and time-sensitive decisions, sometimes with “bet-the-company” consequences. Join Sarah Lamar, Vice Chair of the Georgia Chamber’s HR Council and employment law partner with the Savannah-based law firm of HunterMaclean, to discuss how employees and employers are addressing harassment claims in the era of the #MeToo movement.
We will review the new challenges faced by employers in responding to harassment claims and explore topics such as:
- Maintaining the integrity of an investigation
- The role of social media in framing complaints and the employer’s findings
- The need for proactive training of managers and other employees
- Other measures to prevent or minimize harassment in the workplace
