DESCRIPTION:Join us on September 11 as we present the annual Valor Awards to recognize those who serve and protect our community every day. Lou Dekmar\, Chief of Police and Chief of Public Safety for the City of LaGrange\, will be the featured speaker.\n\n\n\nLouis M. Dekmar has 41 years of civilian police experience\, 27 years as a police chief or chief of public safety. Dekmar serves as Chief of Police and Chief of Public Safety for the City of LaGrange. He instituted significant personnel\, operational\, and service-related initiatives that have improved the departments' training and educational curriculum\, developed and expanded community and problem-solving policing programs\, reduced liability and crime rates and increased customer satisfaction. The police department is accredited by CALEA (since 1999) and remains re-accredited. The Fire Department (Class 2) is also accredited. (Since 2018)\n\n\n\nPlease join LaGrange College for coffee and networking in the McLellan Parlor prior to the breakfast. Breakfast will be provided by C'sons/Mare Sol.
