According to national statistics\, 91% of victims of rape and sexual assault are females. This event encourages participants to "walk a mile" in the shoes of victims (high heels) in order to help raise awareness and show support for victims of sexual abuse. High heels are encouraged for the walk\, but not required. A limited supply will be provided on site. Men\, women\, and children are welcome to participate. Free HIV testing and blood pressure screenings will also be available. Vendors and food trunks will be in attendance as well. This event is brought to you by Harmony House Domestic Violence Shelter and LaGrange College's Clinical Mental Health Program.
