2026 Valor Awards, presented by Great Wolf Lodge

We are honored to host the 2026 Valor Awards presented by Great Wolf Lodge on Thursday, September 10th at 6 p.m. We will recognize those who serve and protect our community every day. 

The Valor Awards pay tribute to Troup County's public safety professionals, including firefighters, police, and emergency personnel. Presentations include the Purple Heart, Medal of Valor, Lifesaving Award, Medal of Merit, Public Safety Person of the Year, Public Safety Unit of the Year, and Communications Officer of the Year.

We are also honored to welcome keynote speaker Lance LoRusso. An attorney and nationally recognized advocate for law enforcement and first responders, LoRusso brings more than 30 years of public safety experience as an EMT, law enforcement officer, and trainer. He was named Attorney of the Year by the National Fraternal Order of Police in 2021 and has represented more than 180 first responders involved in critical incidents. LoRusso is also the founder of the Blue Line Lawyer Institute and the author of numerous books focused on public safety and leadership. His unique perspective and lifelong commitment to serving those who serve others make him a fitting keynote speaker for this year's Valor Awards.
