3D JOURNEYS Discover, Discuss, Develop through Lectures and Travel with LaGrange College
The 15th season of 3D Journeys 2025 will take you through the proudly distinct cultural traditions of Scotland to experience the theater, environment and sports of Scotland. 3D Journeys 2025 offers four free lectures January 27, February 24, March 4 and March 24 to enrich and inspire. Monday, January 27th SCOTLAND: From Lerner and Loewe to Shakespeare! Kim Barber, Theatre Arts Monday, February 24th Moor than just Lochs. A brief ecological tour of Scotland. Dr. Mark Yates, Biology Monday, March 24th “Scotland, home of Golf and the Highland Games; a discussion beyond the Links, bagpipes, and Logs!” Dr. Clay Bolton, Sports Management Bonus lecture in partnership with the Azalea Storytelling Festival Tuesday, March 4th "Ballads and Bagpipes: the music of our Scottish Ancestors" Josh GoForth , Musician/Storyteller, featured storyteller of 2025 Azalea Storytelling Festival To experience the topic firsthand, an educational travel adventure “Landscapes of Scotland: Oban, the Highlands & Edinburgh,” a 3D Journeys excursion in Scotland, hosted by President Susanna Baxter and First Gentleman Mark Huffman, will be offered May 27 – June 7, 2025. Beginning at 10 a.m. (and ending at 11:15 a.m.), the lectures will be held in the Dickson Assembly Room of Turner Hall. Coffee is ready at 9:30 a.m.
Location
the lectures will be held in the Dickson Assembly Room of Turner Hall. Park in the lots adjacent to the pedestrian bridge on Vernon Road; a shuttle beginning at 9:30 a.m. will take you to the door. Attendees are also welcome to walk across the Gulley Gateway on Vernon Road. A Dutch-treat lunch will be available in the Pitts Dining Hall following each session.
