Hypertufa Planters Workshop

In this delightfully messy workshop, participants will learn basic mixing, molding, and finishing techniques to make a lightweight, porous, weatherproof container from hypertufa—a mixture of Portland cement, perlite, and peat moss that can be molded into a variety of container shapes ideal for planting an array of plants, from succulents to alpines and dwarf conifers. Each participant will leave with a newfound appreciation for the material, as well as a finished container for your plantings! All supplies will be provided. $50 per person. Pre-registration is required by September 16. No refunds for cancellations after September 17. Workshop fees include supplies and refreshments. Members may register for Fall workshops on August 5.
