Wellness Wednesdays IV: Dance Fitness with Nancy Bradford
Join us this spring at Hills and Dales Estate and feed your mind, body, and spirit with our third annual Wellness Wednesdays program. Classes include Yoga with Lisa Alford, Dance Fitness and Pilates with Nancy Bradford, and Guided Garden Walks: Exploring History and Horticulture in the Garden with a member of Hills and Dales Estate’s staff. Each class will begin at the Visitor’s Center and last one hour. $10 per person per class. All classes are complimentary for Hills and Dales Estate members. Alford has taught a variety of yoga classes at The Inner Path Yoga Studio on Smith Street for 17 years. She will be teaching a Hatha style yoga class, which is a gentle, slow class for beginners designed to align, cleanse and calm your body, mind and spirit. A typical class starts with gentle warm-ups that transition into a sequence of yoga poses and ends with a short meditation. Please bring your own mat. Nancy Bradford, a mom of 3 and grandmother of 6, has been in the fitness industry for almost 20 years. She received her professional instructor training through ACE fitness. She is a weight management specialist and is currently working on her certification in Sports Nutrition. Nancy is certified in dance fitness, POUNDfit (a weighted drumming class), Pilates, yoga, and aerial yoga. She presently teaches SOULfusion (a Pilates/yoga blend class) and BARREfusion (a ballet-inspired workout) at Towne Fitness in LaGrange. Walking is not only a great way to exercise your body, but also improves your mood and memory! Take brisk guided walks through historic Ferrell Gardens and surrounding grounds while estate staff members explore topics ranging from history to horticulture.
